In depression, you get stuck in this negative pessimistic pattern of thinking. So what psychedelics do is that they kind of introduce a, it's like a temporary storm of thought. It's chaotic for the period of time that you're under the influence of the drug, but it's also releasing. That combination can be therapeutic.
