The Relationship Between Jesus' Day and the Teaching of Dispensationalists
I think you just connected something that I think is a very astute connection when it comes to the teaching of Jews in Jesus' day and the teaching of many dispensationalists, pre-traded dispensationalists. Always perplexed me about the pre-trib, the dispensational pre-millennialism and their thought that Elijah comes back again. It seems like Jesus already says that's happened. So also the Son of Man will certainly suffer at their hands than the disciples understood that he was speaking to them of John the Baptist.
