Ken era is world-renowned atmospheric and earth scientist who I've known for many years. Ken has also published pioneering research into ocean acidification and the effect of climate change on coral reefs. He now works as a senior scientist to break through energy which invests in sustainable energy and carbon removal technologies. Kim Stanley Robinson's story portrays this last ditch effort to halt catastrophic collapse of an Antarctic ice sheet by perforating it with holes.
