The Rawlsian Liberal Story
Liberalism in the 19th century was a form of often took a utilitarian form, colonial utilitarian liberalism and actually come the 50s and 60s after John Rawls that gets modeled on the United States. And of course, when you have exporting democracy, a kind of idea of modernization and with America at its helm baked in to liberalism. But it's not global in its aspirations in that sense. I mean, perhaps all liberalism's so global in their aspirations, but it's not deliberately so.
