The Perlocutionary Effects of Speech Acts

I want to distinguish between perlocutionary effects, which arise in the meaning of the speech act. When you make a request of someone, their understanding and acceptance of that is an elocutionary effect. But them actually complying with that request is a perlocutionsary effect. I think we could probably learn more from people like my German mom who made me understand when I was a kid.
