Mitochondrial DNA does not undergo recombination. So it doesn't change at all. It's also only passed down the female line. Mitochondria have one thing that's very different and very important compared to other organelles. They have their own DNA. We're talking about humans mitochondrial Eve, which is a very different thing. But that's where mitochondrial originally come from. And that just happened because one cell engulfed some bacteria. I don't think you guys are giving this like enough, or, because the idea that, the only reason I've noticed because I've heard of this.
