Is There a Problem With Facial Recognition?
People who can't recognize faces are called prosopognostic. Sometimes it's because they're missing a part of the brain, because of some brain injury. One study found that out of 700 people in germany, about two percent were really bad at recognizing faces. Researchers have now been able to map face regions using electrodes implanted on the surface of the brain for epilepsy patients.
