Is the Metal Sector a Poster Child for Demand Destruction?
When you see a major market dislocation, people will sell everything. The metal sector seems much more closely tied to the cyclical sectors of the economy than the tip of the commodity spear which i've been calling natural gas and oil. So there's no doubt that sectors of the commodity market are vulnerable. And, e know, grains to me, are still very much tied to the energy space where less natural gas and crude oil back off.
