LZ Granderson: I've always taken good sleep for granted, but once you've lost it, you certainly don't. He says insomnia is distress about not being able to sleep; sleep deprivation is dissatisfaction with the quality or quantity of your sleep. LZ: Is this something that's acute short term or is this more of a chronic or long term issue? We can't necessarily prevent you from ever having a bad night of sleep, but trying to keep that from consolidating into a regular occurrence.
