The God of Abraham, God of Jacob
Most of Jacob's stories are set in the northeast, 200 kilometres from Jerusalem. God only appears to each patriarch after they separate from their human father. This is not the God who later reveals himself to Moses. Nor do the patriarchs follow anything like the religion that Moses adopted. They build altars and offer sacrifices where they see fit.
