We used to as children have pets. We did, didn't we? I don't currently have a pet. Let's talk about the pets that we used to have. Can you remember all what were the first pets that we had? The main function of a pet is to introduce children to the concept of death. And all the other things, like just the byproduct,. are just like happy byproducts. But the main purpose is to teach a child about death.

Usually when I talk to my brother on the podcast we talk about fairly obscure topics, like cult films, musical subcultures or skateboarding, but this time we chose a universal topic; pets. Listen to this conversation to hear James and me remembering the pets we had as children and discussing some issues related to keeping animals as pets.
