Santoro Joe Richie's Mother

Santoro Joe Richie was a day laborer and known locally as quote, a kingpin of bar fights. He was violent, but also charming, which is probably how he snared his mother. When Anne and Frank split up, she signed over custody of her son to her parents. The Santoro family hated the Richie family because they didn't speak English very well.
