Wim's Decision to Hurt Hisself
Wim Hoff is best known for swimming the longest distance under sea ice. In his first attempt to make the crossing, he abandoned safety protocols and tried to sprint twice the distance as he had planned originally. His corneas froze in the water and he went blind. Knowing he was seriously injured, Wim managed to make it to the shore just as his son arrived a few minutes later.
