The Origins of the Silk Moth
The origin of the domesticated moth is a wild silk moth that still exists in nature. Many organisms' insects create silks, but some don't make enough. So they will use whatever is in the environment to protect themselves. It's done slowly and over time, but it's just like what we do in the lab. And this is what we see happening from the Neolithic.
