Is That Because of a Change in Their Views or Just Political Alignment?
I believe the change in their views precedes the political realignment among Democrats. And they're definitely not like opponents of like social welfare type stuff. You don't know it was a big schism in the green group. A lot of the originators of the big anti-immigration institutions in the US had roots in environmentalism in the 70s and population bomb stuff, that kind of thing.
