The Role of Science Fiction in Human Development

I personally think that science fiction has a more valuable role to play in human development than things like futurology and trend prediction. In terms of us trying to create our sci-fi fantasies of our you know nostalgic youth whatever that's definitely happening but I don't think it's necessarily bad. There is this sort of like upset like if you look at like robotics for example. The function of a robot should be to do a task right but we already do the tasks of humans perfectly fine. Even what if you can't find a girlfriend. Yeah totally makes sense.
