Skeuomorphism in Interface Design
Skeuomorphism can be used to describe different things. You can think about it in terms of metaphors and the classic example of a floppy disk for a safe interaction. That was taking a physical object that people understood to create a metaphor for an interface doing some more interaction. But then there's design. A button that looks realistic is just a button that looks real, right? It doesn't need a word.
