How to Be an Institutional Investor
How do you get familiar with a company that you're not an expert in. Is it purely just from talking to management and doing your due diligence upfront or what are the shortcuts? We tend to lean on external maybe more than most so I think sell side analysts are a great first step obviously after speaking to management and understanding the business but they might only cover say between 10 and 15 stocks per annum. There's some expert opinion groups that we use occasionally but but rarely primary insight is one example.
