The Singularity
Professor Verna Vinci is ahead of his time because he's still with us. He was the slight precursor to Ray Kurtzvile, who popularized the term even more. I admire both of them for that level of courage, and particularly with being able to predict something 30 years out. They've done so nearly down to the year, which seems impossible to me. And they both must have extraordinary lives because 90% of the feedback must be negative.
