Alzheimer's Disease

The term MCI has been refined multiple times since its original use. Early on, it was largely focused on memory because we were thinking about this being the earliest clinical presentation of Alzheimer's disease. Even though patients may come in and say, gee, I'm not remembering as well as I used to, when you drill down, it could be a language disorder that really having prominent anomia. They may have trouble concentrating, so it's an attention executive function problem.
