Prisoners in Northern Ireland are protesting the revocation of their political status. They refuse to wear prison uniforms, smearing excrement on the walls and throwing buckets of urine out the windows. The prisoners keep demanding to have their special status restored but the government doesn't budge. In 19 81, a handful of prisoners decide to go on hunger strike, refusing to eat until their demands are met.
