In every field, you have like the front, there's always going to be people on the frontier that are going to have an extremely low success rate. The small number that succeed are going to create enormous impact. This is true for artists too: You're going to have people on the front lines that make mostly terrible music that most people don't like. But sometimes they'll make music that's amazing and totally changes their whole field. In centralized systems, they can be strong, but brittle. And then they bring down the system.
