Eugene Carroll, a former advice columnist and author, was ordered to pay Donald Trump $2 million in damages for the incident. The court also ordered him to pay her another $3 million after she revealed details of what he did to her in a book. Some say that Eajin Carroll winning is the most significant of the MeToo movement since Weinstein was convicted in 2020. But it doesn't feel like a victory, because the next day, Donald Trump got an hour to himself on CNN with a very friendly audience of Republican and Republican-leaning voters.
