Generalities? Is That the Best Way Forward?

I think I'm extremely wary of the way that language obscures content as well as reveals it. And so I'm generally always an advocate of trying to take down that level of generality and to try to be a little more precise about what it is that we're talking about. The core message of, you know, decades of scholarship on social construction and the way that social values and interests are intertwined with knowledge making isn't big sweeping generalities. They tend to be very local, very messy, very complex, right, very multi sided.
