People in Ireland who had not actively supported the parliamentarian army were subject to mass dispossession. William Petty arrives in Ireland with this huge task of redistribution of the lands sort of just beginning to the wheels getting in motion. Henry Cromwell was Oliver Cromwell's second son very able an interesting figure was given the job in the middle of the 1650s so he wanted to demilitarize Ireland try and regenerate the economy which had been absolutely ruined.
