The Influence of John Law on the French Revolution
This is the first time in Western Europe outside of the 20th century that we get rates of price level increases that exceed 50% per month. There's some debate, I mean, this could actually be the first actual case of hyperinflation using Kagan's definition in human history. So because it went on so long and there's very different phases, some of them pretty violent, you don't maybe want to rehabilitate all of them, but certain parts of it.
