The Importance of Guidance
I knew about PFLAG, I must have looked at some of their material because I knew that parents often felt guilty. It was still a world where homosexuality was not discussed openly and not nearly as visible as it is now. The difference between then and now came about in no small part because of the fallout from the Save Our Children campaign. Even I, in my own small way, was mobilized by Anita Bryant.
