The Importance of Animal Symbolism in Witchcraft

Some of the divination I practice regularly is animal divination. And it's rely, relies heavily on birds because they're very predominant in my area. It also includes mammals and lizards and that sort of thing and even bugs. So to me, like a hummingbird means joy. After my brother died when I was nine years old, we had a morning dove that would come to the house constantly. To me, now when I see a morning dove under a unusual circumstance, that's a message to me that he's present or that he's looking out for me type thing.
