The logic behind the cancellation of his talk essentially facilitates, you know, a kind of professional black list. And that, to me, is really very striking and utopian. The other thing it struck me houas jutstarting to get at that is the reasoning of some of the people who opposed his lecture. My one example was phoebe a colen, whos the chair of the ju sciencist department a s college. She responded: this idea of intellectual debate and rigour comes from a world in which white men dominate it.
