A palindrome is a sentence, word, or phrase that is the same when written both backwards and forwards. Napoleon didn't even speak English at this point in his life,. So it's highly improbable that he was whipping out witty palindromes. After 10 months of living in exile, words started to trickle back to Napoleon that there was some serious discontent with the old Bourbon monarchy.
