It would be true if a gross physical object could produce something subtle as a thought. That has never been proved. We can show that there is a correlation between thoughts and sensations between the subjective realm and electrochemical reactions in the brain and in the nervous system. But the correlation between A and B doesn't mean that A is the cause of B.
