Is It a Good Idea to Do a Lateral X Ray?

We're worried about some infection or process in the parynx. So wer going to start with our physical exam. Would you do imaging before? Or would you go straight to naso larynxoscope you? Now, honestly, i think this depends somewhat on the logistics of how your department runs,. And what are you going to see when the scope's down there?
