I wanted to go back to boston. In boston was the shining city on the hill, a mass of redsock saltiks patriots. And that would have been awesome living ain in beacon hill or something like that. The idea of being an academic wasn't remotely considered by me. I hadn't appreciated that people didn't hire political scientists as political scientists. Wasn't like a field of applied political science out there. That was weird to me.
