Are Old Testament Saints Like Abraham Saved in the Same Way?

Samuel Johnson: Are Old Testament saints like Abraham saved in the same way New Testament saints are by grace alone through faith alone and Christ alone to the glory of God alone? I don't think we should assume that Abraham was unique in this way. There's certainly nothing in the Old Testament to suggest that he was unique. David is also an example. It's what David says in Psalm 32, blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord.
