The Mental Watch Dog

The mind is really like a watch dog. Any time it something that it perceives might be threatening, it starts barking. Your thought patterns are really like that dog's bark. You stop trying to shut it up because you understand that that dog's actually trying to protect you. The number one priority of the mind is survival. So we create space, we give thanks, we welcome it in. And any time the mind starts acting up, and like, hey buddy, you know, thank you. Thank you for looking out for me. But i want you to know that all is well. We're safe or home or whole.
