The Golden Boat
He came to study law and he didn't progress much with it. He wasn't made for structured studies which were compartmentalised. But I think going back to the period when he was writing as a young child, John mentioned the various magazines in the family. There was Bharati which was edited by his brothers. He read at the Hindamella in Balmikaprotiva. He acted himself which was played out in Dura Shaka Dafam Tagore family seat in the courtyard. So he took part in his own writing and he wrote several collections of poetry at this time.
