Making Distal Transformation Work for the Poor
A to I started life as an e governance project supported by UNDP and house within the Prime Minister's office of Bangladesh. The Oami Lee, which is the ruling political party in Bangladesh had won a massive landslide election back in 2008 promising to build a digital Bangladesh. But beyond that, it had little idea on how to materialize that vision into something concrete. A near came in giving up his comfortable family life in the US and a million dollar startup he helped launch to help bridge that digital divide. He assembled a team composed of outstanding civil servants, handpicked from different levels of bureaucracy,. but also private sector experts and people with experience working with NGOs, academics and student volunteers.
