Philosophy is a kind of boxing match, why not em in the red corner? There are physicalists and idealists. Physicalism gets into trouble with the self because you can't find a physical thing called the self. Irrespective of whether we're going to arrive at a sense of the truth of everything - which i fear we may not - there is this possibly a fact that we ight all axcept. We're all here as a unique human seeing the world. And so or experience is always mediated through the self. So you never escape that. Even in the most beautiful science, there's always a perceiver doing the perceiving. There's always some one there.
