How to Pace Your Training

If you're trying to run, let's say, seven minutes per mile for the marathon, there are certainly a number of different pace zones that you need to hit in training. Locking in and dialing in that 10 k pace, over and over and over is also good practice for the marathon. And then stay on that pace, even as things get harder, and you have to pick up the effort just to keep that pace the same. This is really the secret sauce. Learning how to know when you're going to have to dig down a little deeper to keep hitting seven minutes a mile or 75 seconds per 400 or whatever it is. The only way you can get good at that
