What Sticks, What Works?

I think part of the challenge with teaching is like we're trying to convey a stack. There's a whole stack, a very deep stack of not just knowledge, but skills, attitudes, mindsets, paradigms. And some of the lower layers on the stack, like the lowest layers are like literacy. Most people are not tech literate at all. They know how to use a browser, check email and do a couple other things. But if someone is not tech Literate, there is no chance they are going to create a system.
