What Is It About the Zebra Fish Heart?

If the heart is damaged, then if those cells are damaged, they don't grow back as healthy cardiac muscle cells. You can think of them as scar tissue. They don't work. So this is a huge, huge problem. If you go back and look at that zebra fish's heart, right? Snip it off, and that heart will grow back to completely functional. Now, what is it about the zebra fish heart that allows it to heal itself? And the human heart can't do that!
