Why I Left the Government

I give you credit for coming and talking. You're the only one out here defending it, though. But that's one reason why I left. One reason I left the government, as I wrote in my letter, is that the debate wasn't really as it should be based on realities and facts of what happened. If we don't ask ourselves, why did our military strategy did not succeed? Why did we not achieve the goals over time that we would have liked to achieve with regard to building this new Afghanistan?
