Depression and Anxiety - What Are the Common Symptoms?
One in six adults experience at least one episode of depression during their lifetime. Depression is estimated to be the second leading cause of healthy years of life lost to disability worldwide. It's a major health burden around the world and is a contributing factor in about half of all suicides every year. The risk of experiencing an episode of depression is about twice as high for women than it is for men.
