The Importance of Shortening the Working Week
DeGrove scholarship proposes a very simple solution to this, which has been proposed by progressive economists for more than 100 years. As our economy requires less labor to produce the things that we actually need, then you distribute that necessary labor more evenly and shorten the working week. A climate job guarantee would allow anyone who wants to train and participate in those collective projects with a dignified living wage - doing crucial, socially useful work. And these two policies together, this idea of a shorter working week and aclimate job guarantee would immediately end unemployment permanently.
