Clarence Thomas: A Life in the White Seminary
When the justice was on the High Court, he was famous for not speaking during oral argument. One of the explanations he would offer for that was because he was embarrassed about how he talked. His days living in the white seminary shaped him in other ways too. When they put the lights out at night, his peers would shout and keep him up.
