The Church in the Old Testament

The word echosia is used to talk about the nation of Israel, that we look at that in Hebrew and we see the word assembly or congregation. The New Testament writers weren't creating a new term to talk about new people of God. They were using the same term that had been used to talked about the people of God in the Old Testament because there's a continuity.
