The inca ruler and chronicler named titu cusi recounted his memories of that time in a remarkable document almost 30 years later. In it he recalls the shock and confusion that the arrival of the spanish caused as messengers burst into his father's palace with the news. They are bearded people, veryb and white. They eat out of silver plates. Even their sheep who carry them, are large and wear silver shoes. They throw thunder like the sky.
