Hegel's Theory of Self-Reflection
Hegel tells us that the master has been fully immersed in their own opulence. They lose the capacity for self-reflection and just see themselves as having as being complete. The person working for them because they are engaging their bodies can aspire towards an other who is superior to them. We certainly do not see such things play out under colonization.
