The Degradation of Hip Hop and Pop Music

There are no positive messages at all coming through mainstream hip hop or mainstream pop music generally. There's a great deal of incredibly empowering truth music and conscious message music being made. But you've got to know where to look to find it. It does, again, become interesting to go back to some of the artists from the 90s because that's my era.
