Nebuchadnezzar and the Watchers
Nebuchadnezzar is a source of safety and security for the jews within babylon. He has been good to daniel and his three friends, lifting them up to high office. The sentence of the watchers here - also described as a decree of the most high - is a humbling of king nebuchadneZZar. But in being wet with the dew of heaven, there may be some sign of hope. His kingdom will be preserved for him, and it will be restored to him.
